Care
Keeping it in the condition it arrived in.
General guidance by material category. Where a product comes with its own manufacturer care instructions, follow those instead — they account for the specific finish.
01
Large format tiles
- Clean with a pH-neutral cleaner and warm water — acidic or alkaline cleaners can dull the surface finish over time.
- Reseal grout lines periodically in wet areas; standing water at the grout line is what causes most long-term staining, not the tile itself.
- Use felt pads under furniture legs on polished finishes to avoid scratching.
02
SPC and WPC flooring
- Sweep or vacuum before wet-mopping — grit dragged across the surface is the main cause of visible wear.
- Use a damp, not wet, mop. Standing water at seams can affect the locking mechanism over time.
- Avoid steam cleaners — sustained heat can affect the wear layer.
03
Bathroom fittings
- Wipe dry after use where possible — mineral deposits from standing water are easier to prevent than to remove.
- Avoid abrasive pads on brushed or plated finishes; use a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner.
- For persistent limescale, a diluted white vinegar solution works on most chrome finishes — check compatibility first on brushed or coloured finishes.
